Maryland Handgun Qualification License – In-person Class



The Handgun Qualification Class (HQL) class consists of 4-hours of classroom instruction and approximately 1-hour of range time. The classroom portion consist of the following topics:  Application Process, State Firearm Law, Home Firearm Safety and Handgun Mechanisms and Operations. During the range portion of this class, there will be a “live-fire” component in which each student must safely shoot 1-5 rounds from a handgun. Upon successful completion of this class, each student will receive their Handgun Qualification License (HQL) training range certificate and paperwork to process with Maryland State Police online portal.

Note: All Virtual Students when check out put that you will be virtual in notes box and a Zoom link will be sent to you by email. Also to complete a range date will be scheduled by instructor.
